Simulation RBD

A reliability block diagram (RBD) is a graphical representation of how the components of a system are reliability-wise connected. Each block represents a component of the overall system or process that is represented by the RBD. You can define individual blocks with the reliability and other characteristics of the components they represent.

BlockSim’s RBDs and fault trees can be configured as analytical diagrams or simulation diagrams. Simulation diagrams can take into account repair and restoration actions, including behaviors of crews, spare part pools, throughput, etc. Using discrete event simulation, highly complex scenarios involving a multitude of probabilistic events, such as corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspections, imperfect repairs, crew response times, spare part availability, etc. can be analyzed.
