Enhanced Zonal Analysis The Zonal (Enhanced) rating system considers: The size of the zone and the density of the equipment in the zone. The potential effects of fire caused by a wiring/EWIS failure on adjacent wiring and systems. It then prompts the analyst to consider whether a zonal general visual inspection (GVI) alone will be effective for the entire zone, or if it should be augmented with a standalone GVI and/or a detailed inspection (DET). Finally, it allows the user to rate the likelihood of accidental damage and environmental deterioration in order to help determine the appropriate inspection interval.
