Short description.
The Zonal (Standard) rating system considers:

* The density of the equipment in the zone.
* The likelihood of accidental damage due to ground/cargo handling, weather, lightning strike, maintenance or operator procedures, etc.
* The likelihood of environmental deterioration due to atmosphere, corrosive products, condensation, etc.
As the result of this analysis, the team may recommend one or more general visual inspection (GVI) tasks for the zone. They may also choose to transfer zonal inspection program (ZIP) candidate tasks from any of the other MSG-3 analyses for the aircraft (systems and powerplant, structural, enhanced zonal and/or L/HIRF).

Standard Zonal Analysis

The Zonal (Standard) rating system considers:

  • The density of the equipment in the zone.
  • The likelihood of accidental damage due to ground/cargo handling, weather, lightning strike, maintenance or operator procedures, etc.
  • The likelihood of environmental deterioration due to atmosphere, corrosive products, condensation, etc.
