Plackett-Burman Factorial Designs

Placket-Burman design is a special type of two level factorial design (where each factor must have exactly two levels). The number of runs in a Placket-Burman design is always a multiple of 4, such as 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, etc. For a design with a number of runs of n, it can be used to study the effect of up to n-1 factors. Placket-Burman design is a highly fractional factorial design.
