Short description.
The Zonal (Enhanced) rating system considers:

*The size of the zone and the density of the equipment in the zone.
*The potential effects of fire caused by a wiring/EWIS failure on adjacent wiring and systems.

It then prompts the analyst to consider whether a zonal general visual inspection (GVI) alone will be effective for the entire zone, or if it should be augmented with a standalone GVI and/or a detailed inspection (DET).

Finally, it allows the user to rate the likelihood of accidental damage and environmental deterioration in order to help determine the appropriate inspection interval.

Enhanced Zonal Analysis

The Zonal (Enhanced) rating system considers:

  • The size of the zone and the density of the equipment in the zone.
  • The potential effects of fire caused by a wiring/EWIS failure on adjacent wiring and systems.
